There’s something unforgettable about a New Year’s wedding. The excitement feels bigger, the emotions run deeper, and every moment carries a sense of celebration. Kat and Liam’s wedding at The Walper Hotel was the perfect way to welcome a new year surrounded by family, friends, and so much love.
The day began with the guys getting ready at the hotel. Beers were cracked open, music played through the room, and laughter filled the morning. These quieter moments always help tell the full story of a wedding day. Before the ceremony and celebrations begin, there’s a calm excitement that makes everything feel real.
Upstairs, the energy was building with the girls as makeup finished and champagne glasses clinked together. Kat’s mom helped button up the dress while the bridesmaids gathered around, sharing smiles, tears, and excitement for the day ahead. The atmosphere felt emotional in the best way.
One of the most memorable moments came during the first look with Kat’s dad. The emotion on his face seeing his daughter in her wedding dress said everything. Soon after, it was Liam’s turn. Waiting nervously near the elevators of The Walper Hotel, he turned around to see Kat for the first time and was completely speechless.

The wedding party joined in for champagne celebrations at the hotel bar before everyone took a short break ahead of the ceremony. Before the night fully kicked off, we stepped away for a few intimate portraits around the hotel and outside in the snowy Kitchener evening. These moments gave Kat and Liam a chance to slow down together and take in the day.
As midnight approached, the dance floor filled with energy. Friends and family gathered together to celebrate not only a wedding, but the beginning of a new year. The countdown, music, and packed dance floor created an unforgettable atmosphere that perfectly matched the elegance and excitement of the day.
